About Us

Therapy Strategies Plus was founded by Melinda Butler, a licensed occupational therapist since 2004 with clinical and management experience in sub-acute, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska and a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University. As a Director of Rehabilitation for over a decade, Dr. Butler has created assessment tools, patient/caregiver training handouts, and training programs. She has also developed numerous senior workshops that she conducts at senior centers, assisted living facilities, and health fairs. Dr. Butler was a presenter at the 90th annual AOTA Conference Expo in 2010 and is a member of American Occupational Therapy Association. She teaches continuing education seminars in documentation, billing and treatment guidelines and professional ethics. Her passion for caring for vulnerable populations has fueled her desire to be a sounding board for aging adults and those who love and care for them.
